I finally learn how to be still

Only to realize God stirs powerfully in silence

I finally learn to listen to God’s prompting

Only to realize his calls are numerous

I finally learn to chart my prayer calendar

Only to realize in-between seconds count

I finally learn God has a perfect timing

Only to realize in his quiet I should wait

I finally learn how to relax

Only to realize peace is what I need

I finally learn how to be strong

Only to realize his strength is my fuel

I finally draw a plan I think is God’s

Only to realize he guides step by step

I finally complete a task

Only to realize it’s the beginning of a new one

I finally learn to thank the Lord

Only to realize loving is my best thanksgiving

I finally learn to love

Only to realize I need to die more to love more
