Blessed by Father Ray
On this Thanksgiving Day, let us all, parishioners of St. Anthony Church, Wailuku, Hawaii, pause to reflect and give thanks to Almighty God for blessing us with having Father Raymond Malley, S.M., as our pastor.
After a decade plus four years, Father Ray has departed Maui for a new assignment. He has administered to the spiritual and temporal needs of us, his flock, in a remarkable manner and we are the better for having Father Ray as our spiritual leader. Self-effacing, taciturn and innately humble, he gave unstintingly of his valuable time and exemplary talent, seeking neither accolades nor glory. With limited resources at his disposal, Father Ray did very well for the good of St. Anthony parishioners.
Although you leave us, we shall never forget you, but remember you with very grateful hearts and warmest affection. May good health, good cheer and happiness be your constant companions. May Our Lord and Our Lady guide you and bless you in every way. We wish you “Godspeed.”
Lest we forget, let us humbly give thanks to Almighty God to have Father Roland Bunda, S.M., Father Gerard Pleva, S.M., and Brother Jim Vorndran, S.M., to staff St. Anthony Church. Let us remember them in our prayers.
Albert Chee, Wailuku
