1940: Construction begins on the first Saint Theresa Church

Jan. 1941: New church dedicated

1944: Marist priests take over operation of Saint Theresa Parish

Aug. 15, 1946: First four Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity arrive in Kekaha to run a new parish school

Sept. 3, 1946: Saint Theresa School opens

June 6, 1977: Original church burns down

Feb. 18, 1979: New church blessed

1985: LaSalette Fathers take over operating Saint Theresa Parish

Sept. 11, 1992: Hurricane Iniki destroys the school, rectory and convent

1995: New school completed

2006: Saint Theresa School gets its first lay principal
