Visiting priest-author to give sessions on marriage

Visiting priest, author and marriage preparation expert Father Rob Ruhnke will offer two sessions on marriage here this month:
  • Marriage enrichment session: Nov. 15, 7-9 p.m., St. Philomena Church, Salt Lake. The session will cover the evolution of the sacrament of matrimony, intimacy, couple prayer and support systems.
  • Training workshop for couples working in marriage preparation, Nov. 17, 9 a.m.-noon, at St. John Apostle and Evangelist Church, room 4, in Mililani.

Both events are free.

Father Ruhnke wrote “For Better and Forever,” a resource book for engaged couples preparing for a Catholic marriage. He has a master’s degree in theology, a doctorate in ministry, and is also a director of Marriage Preparation Resources.

A trainer of married sponsor couples since 1975, he wrote his book to guide engaged couples preparing for marriage as well as the married couples who help them.

If you plan to attend, please call or e-mail Deacon Ron and Eunice Paglinawan at 625-7430 or repugs@yahoo.com, by Nov. 10.
