Short visit home

Big Island-born Father Clyde Phillips, right, the Maryknoll Fathers’ United States regional superior, visited Bishop Larry Silva in his Honolulu office Aug. 16. During his “brief but restful” trip to Hawaii from Maryknoll N.Y., Father Phillips also visited the last two remaining Maryknoll priests in Hawaii, Fathers John Soltis and Thomas Killackey, and celebrated his mother’s 81st birthday in Hilo.
