Liturgical refresher course

Precious Blood Sister Joyce Ann Zimmerman speaks to clergy at St. Stephen Diocesan Center on May 31 during the first session of a day-and-a-half long liturgy workshop for priests and deacons. She and Notre Dame Sister Kathleen Harmon, both from the Institute for Liturgical Ministry in Dayton, Ohio, gave an in-depth review of the liturgy, particularly the General Instruction of the Roman Missal, presiding skills, and liturgical music to about 80 priests and deacons. The two nuns also lead the “Renewing Liturgy, Renewing Life” workshop for retreat leaders, liturgists, music directors, and other parish ministry leaders, which they have done for the past several years, from June 3-15.
