Mary Jane Home founder Pearson to speak at youth event
MAX2007, a mainland-based Catholic group of 10 young people and two priests, will be in Hawaii for 10 days this month, hosted by InHim Ministries, conducting presentations and retreats for youth and young adults.

Among the events will be a pro-life evening at St. Anthony Church in Kailua co-sponsored by the Pearson Foundation of Hawaii Pregnancy Problem Centers. The event will also feature a talk by Robert Pearson, who founded the Pearson Foundation of Hawaii and the Mary Jane Home for unwed mothers, in the 1970s.

MAX2007 is part of the Militia of the Immaculata, an international organization started by St. Maximilian Kolbe in 1917. Here is a schedule of their Hawaii appearances:

  • Big Island retreat: April 21-22, Kilauea Military Camp, Volcano
  • Youth and Young Adult evening: 7-9 p.m., April 24, Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Pearl City
  • Pro-Life Evening: 7-9 p.m., April 25, St. Anthony Church, Kailua
  • Maryknoll High School Senior Retreat: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., April 26, CampHomelani, NorthShore
  • Lions Club Meet and Greet: 3-8 p.m., April 27, Waikiki
  • MAX ‘007 Teen Retreat: April 28-29, CampErdman, Waialua
  • Windward Vicariate Youth Day: 9 a.m.-3 p.m., April 28, St. Ann Parish, Kaneohe
