Donations requested to help pilgrims get to World Youth Day
The Office for Diocesan Services is accepting donations to help Hawaii Catholic youth attend World Youth Day, July 15-20, 2008, in Sydney, Australia. Bishop Larry Silva will lead the Hawaii delegation to the Vatican-sponsored event for young people attended by the pope.

The cost per participant is more than $3,000. Parish youth groups usually raise funds through community events such as car washes and bake sales.

For more information on how you can help, call Paulette Gomes at the Diocesan Services Office at 203-6722, or send her an e-mail at pgomes@ssdc-hi.org.
