Our Lady of Keaau elects board of directors

Our Lady of Keaau, a place of prayer, refuge and recreation on the Waianae coast, has elected board of directors that includes Franciscan executives and leeward Oahu community leaders.

Sister of St. Francis Agnelle Ching, chief executive officer of St. Francis Healthcare System, has been named chairwoman. Sister of St. Francis Beatrice Tom, chief administrator of Our Lady of Keaau, is president. Sister of St. Francis Patricia Rapozo, an educator at St. Michael School and Parish in Waialua, is secretary/treasurer.

Our Lady of Keaau is an entity of the St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii.

Elected for two-year terms were Dennis Miyashiro, First Hawaiian Bank’s Waianae Branch manager; and Lt. Col. (ret.) Don Arakaki, JROTC senior army instructor at Waianae High School.

Elected for three-year terms are Sister of St. Francis Norise Kaiser, mission educator at St. Francis Healthcare System; Kay Kramer, an Ewa Beach community volunteer; and Suzanne Leonida, a Waianae community volunteer.

Our Lady of Keaau provides outreach services for the homeless and disadvantaged and is also available to organizations and the community for business meetings, retreats and celebrations. It was dedicated in October 2005.
