Serra Club hosting annual appreciation dinner for religious

The Serra Club of Honolulu will host its 18th annual appreciation dinner for consecrated religious brothers and sisters on Sept. 16 in St. Philomena Parish Hall in Salt Lake.

The event begins with fellowship at 5:45 p.m., followed by a dinner of steak or fish at 6:30 p.m. Dress is casual.

Serra Club president Jack Kampfer said the gathering is a “small way of honoring the religious who have given so much to our diocese and our church.”

The dinner is free to the religious, but reservations are required by Sept. 1. For reservations or more information, call Kampfer at 621-0852.

The Serra Club of Honolulu is part of Serra International, a lay organization dedicated to fostering and preserving vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and vowed religious life.
