‘Rachel’ retreat offers healing from pain of abortion

Rachel’s Vineyard Ministries of Honolulu is offering an abortion recovery retreat for women and men Oct. 1-3 in a supportive, confidential, non-judgmental, small-group setting.

The weekend retreat allows participants to express, release and reconcile painful emotions caused by an abortion to begin their renewal and healing.

Married couples, mothers, fathers, siblings and grandparents of aborted children, as well as those who have been involved in the abortion industry, have attended Rachel’s Vineyard retreats in search of peace and inner healing.

The retreat runs Friday evening through Sunday evening. A $100 registration fee includes accommodations, meals and materials. For registration and information, contact Lisa Shorba at (808) 349-5071 or e-mail: RVHawaii@gmail.com.

Scholarships are available based on need. More information is also available online at: www.rachels vineyard.org.

A previous participant anonymously offered an endorsement of the retreat: “I experienced a great inner healing. I would highly recommend this retreat to anyone who has felt the void and shame of the abortion experience. It is a wonderful way to forgive yourself, find the completely unconditional love of Christ, and grieve your loss.”
