Star of the Sea Church hosting overnight Eucharistic vigil

Star of the Sea Church in Waialae-Kahala is hosting an overnight vigil in reparation for the desecration of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Sept. 14-15, from the Feast of the Triumph of the Cross to the Feast of the Sorrowful Mother.

The evening starts with Mass at 9 p.m., followed by the exposition of the Eucharist by Blessed Sacrament Father Mark del Rosario, pastor of Star of the Sea.

Prayers to be recited during the overnight adoration include the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, the Chaplet of the United Hearts, the Chaplet to God our Father, four meditative mysteries of the rosary, the Our Father Rosary, the Litany in Reparation to the Blessed Sacrament and the Litany of Our Sorrowful Mother.

The vigil ends with Benediction at 5:30 a.m.
