Reflection and prayer

Diocesan priests gathered in the St. Stephen Diocesan Center chapel on Jan. 11 during the first morning talk of the annual diocesan priest retreat, Jan. 10-15. Leading the week of reflection and prayer was Father Jack Stoeger, standing, director of Cardinal Timothy Manning House of Prayer for Priests in Los Angeles. One of his first directives was to request priests to turn off their cell phones.
