Deacon Bill McPeek holds the Damien Award, presented by the Diocese Office of Social Ministry to him and his late wife Flo McPeek in appreciation for “believing in and supporting the mission of Mobile Care” from 1997 to 2009. Kaye Lundburg, former director of the Mobile Care Health Project on the Big Island, presented the award to McPeek earlier this month at Annunciation Church, Waimea, where he is a parishioner. Flo McPeek died earlier this year. Mobile Care provides medical care to the uninsured and underinsured residents of the Big Island.
