National director of Priests for Life, Father Frank Pavone, will speak this Sunday, Sept.20, at a dinner in the DeRussy Room of the Hale Koa Hotel in Waikiki. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m.
The $50-a-plate evening is sponsored by, and is a benefit for, Hawaii Right to Life, a non-denominational pro-life educational organization.
On Sept. 19, Father Pavone will speak to Catholic and Protestant military chaplains at the Hickam Air Force Chapel and Hall. Afterward, he will have “Pizza with Pavone” sessions with military religious youth groups, and talk with adults.
On Sept. 20, Father Pavone will concelebrate and preach at the 7, 9 and 11 a.m. Masses at Sacred Heart Church, Honolulu. He will then conduct a memorial service and the blessing of a respect life monument in the church courtyard before addressing parish respect life coordinators in an afternoon open forum in Sacred Heart Church.
On Sept. 21, Father Pavone will be interviewed for Trinity Broadcasting and then speak to grades 7-12 at Maryknoll School.
The next day, Sept 22, he will have a morning workshop with Hawaii priests and deacons at St. Stephen Diocesan Center, and speak to the high school students of Sacred Hearts Academy in the afternoon.
Father Pavone, a priest of the Amarillo Diocese, is a prominent pro-life leader who serves full-time advocating for the life of the unborn around the world. He became national director of Priests for Life in 1993. He is also the president of the National Pro-life Religious Council and the national pastoral director of Rachel’s Vineyard, the world’s largest ministry of healing after abortion.
He travels worldwide preaching and teaching against abortion. He also produces pro-life radio and television programs.
