Toys for sick tots

Sheena Joy Malbog, a 2004 St. Francis School graduate and Philippines film actress, joined students from her alma mater on April 23 packing more than 600 stuffed animals for shipment to the Philippines Orthopedic Center in Manila. The students collected the toys during Lent in response to Malbog’s request for donations for the children being treated at the tiny, poor facility. She plans to distribute the toys to terminally ill child cancer patients when she returns there in June. Pictured are Malbog, center, junior Shannon Reese, and seventh graders Connor and Taylor Damaschi packing toys to be shipped.
