Top, Bishop Larry Silva watches Father Khanh Pham Nguyen sign a document initiating him as pastor of Blessed Sacrament Church at the 5 p.m. Mass on Dec. 6. Father Nguyen, who had been the parish administrator, joined the Diocese of Honolulu from the Diocese of Colorado Springs in September, making him eligible for the title of pastor. The ceremony was part of the parish’s 70th anniversary celebration which was celebrated by a Mass, and in the parish hall, a feast, a PowerPoint presentation, and musical numbers by parishioners young and old.
