Toyland in Maunaloa

Blessed Damien Catholic Parish and the Maunaloa Ohana I Lokahi Association (MOILA) co-hosted a Christmas Toyland event at St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Maunaloa, Molokai, Dec. 13.

While parents selected gifts for their children, listened to live Christmas music and got their selections wrapped, MOILA members Janeel Hew and Alice Luuloa headed up Christmas games for the kids on the church lawn.

Most of the 168 gifts and 51 Molokai Drug Store gift certificates were donated by parishioners of St. John Apostle and Evangelist Parish in Mililani, Oahu. Extra toys went to other families in need on the island.
