The Young Ladies Institute’s grand president Joane Muniz has appointed Mary Wuscher (Institute # 208) as the Hawaii district deputy for the 2006-2007 term.
Serving as institute deputies are Rosalie Smith for Kailua #213 and LaVerne Chow for Ana Malia #208.
Assisting Wuscher will be Rosalie Smith as district secretary, Evelyn Cabral as district treasurer and Mary C. Kahananui as district publicity coordinator.
The Young Ladies Institute, or YLI, is an organization of nearly 10,000 Catholic women in California, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington. Its purpose is to be of service to its members, the church and the community. A yearly project for the Hawaii members is providing support for Hawaii’s seminarians.
The first order of business on the calendar is the Past President’s Club meeting on Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. at Ruth Braz’s house at 45-669 Waiwai Street in Kaneohe.
