52 Confirmation ceremonies this year Minimize
52 Confirmation ceremonies this year

The diocese will celebrate 52 Confirmation ceremonies this year. Bishop Larry Silva will preside at all the neighbor island Masses and several of the Oahu ones, 37 total. The vicar general Father Marc Alexander will preside at 15.

The months following Easter is the usual time for the administration of the sacrament of Confirmation in Hawaii.

In the Diocese of Honolulu, Confirmation is generally given to high school students after a two-year parish preparation process. The Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace is the exception. It prepares children in the second grade for the sacraments of First Eucharist and Confirmation simultaneously.
