Spiritual eye-opener

Need your spiritual eyes checked? Come to the Big Island Young Adult Connection — the theme “Open Your Eyes and Realize!” — April 4, 5, 6, at St. John the Baptist Church in Kealakekua.

Be blessed, be loved, be healed, see the world in a different way. Let the Lord open your eyes to a whole new life, a life in the Spirit.

The $25 fee covers the seminar and most meals. Scholarships are available. Check-in is on Friday, April 4, at 6:30 p.m.

St. John’s is a mission of St. Benedict Church, the famous “Painted Church.” Kealakekua is where the humuhumunukunukuapuaa go swimming by. If you’re traveling, Manago Hotel is about a mile south, and Keauhou resorts are 20 minutes north. Condos with kamaaina discounts are also available.

For information, questions, concerns, contact Heather Ogata at heather_akao@yahoo.com, 896-0892; or Damon Ogata at dogata@hawaiigas.com, 756-6700; or Edwina Fujimoto at winz4jesus@msn.com, 895-7105.

The event is sponsored by the Diocesan Youth and Young Adult Board and the Hawaii Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services.
