St. Francis Healthcare names two new executives
 
St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii last month appointed two new key executives.

Jerry Correa Jr. has been named the Chief Administrator of Administrative Services, a new position overseeing information services, fiscal services and revenue management, and facilities. He is also the chief administrator of the St. Francis Healthcare Enterprises, the system’s for-profit businesses and joint ventures.

Correa, a graduate of St. Louis High School and Kennedy-Western University, joined St. Francis Healthcare System in 2000 and previously served as Vice President of Information Services.

Sue Bias is the new Director of Human Resources. She will oversee recruitment and staffing, employee orientation, compensation and benefits, employee safety, welfare and health, and labor relations.

Bias joined St. Francis Healthcare System in 2004 as benefits manager and was named human resources manager in 2005. Born and raised in San Jose, Calif., Bias is a graduate of the University of San Francisco.

St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii is made up of five subsidiaries: St. Francis Healthcare Foundation; St. Francis Community Health Services; St. Francis Healthcare Enterprises; St. Francis Residential Care Community; and Our Lady of Keaau.

A young boy joins mariachis in an annual procession in Los Angeles Nov. 26 in honor of St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music. The musicians attended an open-air Mass and on Dec. 7 they are scheduled to sing at an Los Angeles archdiocesan Mass honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe.
