Chinese Catholic Club offering scholarships
 
The Chinese Catholic Club of Honolulu is awarding college scholarships to Hawaii high school seniors enrolling at the University of Hawaii Manoa or Chaminade University of Honolulu in fall 2008. Candidates must demonstrate financial need and be a Hawaii resident.

Applications are available at high school offices or by contacting Larry Lee at 487-8229 or Marianne Lum at 382-6848. The application deadline is June 1.

A young boy joins mariachis in an annual procession in Los Angeles Nov. 26 in honor of St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music. The musicians attended an open-air Mass and on Dec. 7 they are scheduled to sing at an Los Angeles archdiocesan Mass honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe.
