Bishop to lead procession on anniversary of Year the Eucharist

A eucharistic procession led by Bishop Larry Silva to mark the first year anniversary of the October 2004-2005 Eucharistic Year proclaimed by the late Pope John Paul II will be held at Our Lady of Peace Cathedral in Honolulu on Oct. 22 at 4 p.m. The procession will be followed by Holy Hour and 6 p.m. Mass. A light supper and fellowship will be held after Mass.

A young boy joins mariachis in an annual procession in Los Angeles Nov. 26 in honor of St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music. The musicians attended an open-air Mass and on Dec. 7 they are scheduled to sing at an Los Angeles archdiocesan Mass honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe.
