The Hawaii Council on Portuguese Heritage’s Festa 2006, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Oct. 7 and 8, at the McCoy Pavilion at Ala Moana Beach Park, promises to be two fun-filled days of Portuguese music, food, costumes and crafts.
Come and experience local artists and vendors, cooking demonstrations, cultural displays and craftwork imported from the home country.
Comedian Frank DeLima will be one of a many local entertainers performing over the two days. The music and video programs of Portugal will be continuous.
Enjoy Portuguese bean soup, malasadas, vinha d’alhos pork and Portuguese sausage hot dogs on sweetbread buns.
The Festa has been a unique island cultural experience since 1978.
