Wreaths, wreaths, wreaths

The religious education students of Blessed Sacrament Church in Honolulu show off the Advent wreaths they made with their parents before taking them home to share with their families. Religious education coordinator Leimomi Kondo taught the children the meaning and use of the wreaths. Mary Lee Young and Demetria Kuapahi coordinated the project and the pastor Father Khanh Pham Nguyen blessed the wreaths.

A young boy joins mariachis in an annual procession in Los Angeles Nov. 26 in honor of St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music. The musicians attended an open-air Mass and on Dec. 7 they are scheduled to sing at an Los Angeles archdiocesan Mass honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe.
