Judicial vicar to offer annulment workshops
 
Father Mark Gantley, the judicial vicar of the Diocese of Honolulu, will give workshops on three islands early next year on how to ask for a marriage annulment, more formally called a “declaration of marital nullity.” The talks are for lay people. Anyone may attend and questions are welcome.

Here is the schedule:

  • Maui: Thursday, Jan. 10, 7 p.m., St. Theresa Church, Kihei
  • Big Island: Tuesday, Jan. 29, 7 p.m.,           St. Joseph Church, Hilo
  • Big Island: Thursday, Jan. 31, 7 p.m., St. Michael Church, Kailua-Kona
  • Oahu: Tuesday, Feb. 19, 7 p.m., St. Stephen Diocesan Center

Any Oahu pastor who would like a workshop in his parish may e-mail Father Gantley at mgantley@rcchawaii.org.

Father Gantley is also offering for priests and deacons on Maui an advocate training session covering the steps on how to help people petition for an annulment, 9 a.m.-noon, Jan. 10, in St. Theresa parish hall, Kihei.
