3 parishes hosting ‘returning home’ new year sessions Minimize
3 parishes hosting ‘returning home’ new year sessions

Three Hawaii parishes will sponsor in January “After Christmas” sessions of the Catholics Returning Home program, part of the diocesan Office for Welcoming Parish.

The program invites inactive Catholics to rediscover their faith through six consecutive weekly meetings led by a team of lay people. Participants also have a chance to speak with a priest. The sessions stress dialogue, “listening with compassion,” openness, reconciliation and confidentiality.

Here is the session schedule:

  • Annunciation Church, Kamuela, Big Island: Jan. 9-Feb. 13. Call Kenneth Kim, Jr., 885-6086, for more information.
  • Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Wahiawa: Jan. 2-Feb. 6. Call the parish religious education office at 621-5109, ext. 206.
  • Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa, Honolulu: Jan. 24-Feb. 28. Call Zee Oue, 349-6389.

Three other parishes are considering upcoming Catholics Returning Home sessions. They are St. Ann Parish in Kaneohe, St. Catherine Parish in Kapaa, Kauai, and the Kula Catholic Community on Maui. Contact those parishes for more information.
